VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Volunteer Coordinator
As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, The BHT Foundation relies on the support of our volunteers. Without them we could not exist! We are currently looking for a Volunteer Coordinator who can build our Volunteer Program. Since this is a new position, the newly recruited volunteer coordinator will help mold our program as well as help us continue our mission of giving back to our community!
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify and implements new methods to attract and retain volunteers

Utilize third party recruitment platforms as needed (Idealist, Volunteer Match)

Filter all volunteer questions and concerns

Plan and execute volunteer orientation and annual recognition events

Develop SOPs, job descriptions, and training materials

Create and manage complete volunteer schedule

Work with Committee Chairs and match volunteers to opportunities that best suit their abilities
SKILLS NEEDED:

Experience in working with and/or creating volunteer programs (preferred)

Experience in working with and thanking volunteers

Excellent people and organizational skills
-
Excellent writing, communication, and problem solving skills

Computer Skills including Google Drive and adept at volunteer scheduling programs
TIME COMMITMENT:
-
2 to 4 hours per month with additional hours as events and receptions

While attendance at board meetings is not required, but monthly updates are required
