PAID OPPORTUNITY: Volunteer Coordinator 

As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, The BHT Foundation relies on the support of our volunteers.  Without them we could not exist!  We are currently looking for a Volunteer Coordinator who can build our Volunteer Program.  Since this is a new position, the newly recruited volunteer coordinator will help mold our program as well as help us continue our mission of giving back to our community!


  • Identify and implements new methods to attract and retain volunteers

  • Utilize third party recruitment platforms as needed (Idealist, Volunteer Match)

  • Filter all volunteer questions and concerns

  • Plan and execute volunteer orientation and annual recognition events

  • Develop SOPs, job descriptions, and training materials 

  • Create and manage complete volunteer schedule

  • Work with Committee Chairs and match volunteers to opportunities that best suit their abilities


  • Experience in working with and/or creating volunteer programs (preferred) 

  • Experience in working with and thanking volunteers

  • Excellent people and organizational skills

  • Excellent writing, communication, and problem solving skills

  • Computer Skills including Google Drive and adept at volunteer scheduling programs


  • Time Commitment: September 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021 with the possibility of extension

  • Hourly Commitment: 6 to 10 hours per month with additional hours at events

  • While attendance at board meetings is not required, but monthly updates are required


  • $500 per month (September to December) w/ possibility of extension
